License

You cannot commence drilling a bore over 3 meters deep until you have applied and received your “Bore Construction License” (BCL). This license will cost you $620 and is valid for 12 months. If you have not completed construction within this time, you can apply to renew the license, which much be lodged prior to the expiry of your existing BCL.

Groundwater License

If you are planning to use water from this bore for any other purposes, other than domestic and/or stock purposes, such as irrigation or dairy use, you must apply for a Groundwater License.
